U.S. Senators’ Visit On August 28, 2014 Faffa Food Share Co. hosted a visit for four female U.S. senators to showcase how Partners in Food Solutions (PFS) and Technoserve support leading small and growing food processing companies such as Faffa both in the technical and business aspect. We welcomed Senator Debbie Stabenow from Michigan, Senator Amy Klobuchar from Minnesota, Senator Heidi Heitkamp from North Dakota and Senator Mazie Hirono from Hawaii. “The purpose of the congressional delegation’s trip was to see how taxpayer dollars are being spent within USAID-sponsored programs in Africa – with an eye on agriculture and nutrition… The senators were particularly interested in the multiplier effect that leverages USAID/taxpayers’ dollars by remotely connecting the expertise of volunteers from world-class food companies with needs defined by Africa based clients in Africa.” (PFS, 2014). http://www.partnersinfoodsolutions.com/tag/senators-visit-africa
